Gaya Harari-Heit is the CEO of RISE Israel. In recent years, she served as VP of Strategy & Policy and as Head of AI at RISE Israel, and she is a member of the expert advisory forum to the Israeli government in the field of AI.
Before joining RISE Israel, Gaya served as the Senior Adviser to the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, where she led cross-sector projects and initiatives to promote the Israeli high-tech industry, and worked with various stakeholders to design and advance innovation regulation. Prior to her role in the Ministry of Innovation, she worked as a litigation lawyer, as an intern in the Israeli supreme court (with supreme court justice Anat Baron) and with the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations.
Gaya holds an L.L.B from Bar Ilan University (Summa Cum Laude, first in her class), and an M.A. in Law, Technology, and Business Innovation, and published several articles on legislation and regulation in leading law journals and books.
