Our mission is twofold: to preserve Israel’s technological leadership and to harness Israeli innovation to tackle major national challenges and strengthen the society and the economy.
We work closely with industry, academia, government, and civil society, bridging and bringing together key stakeholders.
Founded in 2021 as the Start-Up Nation Policy Institute (SNPI), RISE Israel is a non-profit organization supported by philanthropy and research grants.

Comprises leading professionals with extensive expertise and experience in high-tech, innovation, public service, economic research, and strategic consulting.
RISE Israel is led by Professor Eugene Kandel, Chairman of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and former head of the National Economic Council. The institute’s CEO is Uri Gabai, an expert in innovation policy and former Chief Strategy Officer at the Israel Innovation Authority.
