Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform how governments regulate – improving decisions, easing regulatory burdens, and ultimately serving the public more effectively.
As part of theย
AIForward initiative, led by RISE Israel and supported by Google.org, we brought together dozens of Israeli regulators and other experts for roundtable discussions focused on one central question: how can AI help make regulation smarter, more efficient, and more citizen-centered?
The discussions focused on real, day-to-day challenges that regulators face – and on how AI can solve them. From streamlining licensing processes and closing enforcement gaps to improving the quality of public engagement, we explored how AI could help create smarter, more efficient regulation that eases burdens and better serves the public.
At the same time, we looked ahead to game-changing possibilities: adaptive regulation that evolves with shifting conditions, deep real-time sentiment analysis to enable more meaningful public participation, and automation to simplify workflows across the board. Grounded in local needs and informed by global case studies, these conversations laid the foundation for a forward-looking strategy to integrate AI into Israelโs public sector – responsibly, practically, and with public value at its core.
Weโre excited to keep shaping regulatory systems that are innovative, efficient, and ready for the AI age.
